We’re pleased to announce a significant firmware update for Sync-One2 v2, introducing capabilities for checking speaker polarity.

The Problem We’ve Solved

Speaker polarity issues can cause audio problems in professional AV systems more frequently than most realise. When speakers are wired with incorrect polarity, they operate out of phase with others in the system, creating poor audio quality and dead zones where sound cancellation occurs.

This problem becomes particularly challenging in complex installations like lecture theatres, where dozens of ceiling speakers operate on 70V or 100V distributed systems. A single incorrectly wired speaker can compromise audio quality across entire zones, and locating the culprit among dozens of speakers has traditionally been a time-consuming, costly process.
